About Jessy

My name is Jessy Vetter, and I am based in France. I work at Microsoft as a Senior Network Engineer, focusing on Azure Sovereign Cloud, the most regulated and compliance-driven cloud platform for governments and highly demanding organizations.

Before that, I worked at La Poste Groupe as a Network Architect, where I was responsible for building a high-availability infrastructure and managing a Data Center Interconnect (DCI) project. I also designed and oversaw the migration from a legacy setup to a new multi-DC infrastructure. Since the organization was directly subject to the Military Programming Act (LPM), the project had to strictly follow ANSSI’s security requirements and audits. This infrastructure was critical for several organizations relying on its reliability and compliance.

Moving from ANSSI-regulated infrastructures in France to Microsoft’s sovereign cloud has naturally strengthened my expertise in designing and securing mission-critical systems under strict compliance requirements.

Previously, I worked as a System Engineer at the RIPE NCC (AS3333), one of the five Regional Internet Registries 1. My responsibilities included maintaining one of the 13 DNS root name servers, managing a big data storage cluster, and working daily with Linux, BGP, and IPv6.

I am passionate about network and system administration. My main expertise is network engineering, linux system administration (8+ years) and IaC (5+ years). My passion lies in designing and operating large-scale, resilient infrastructures. My core expertise is in network architecture, with a strong background in Linux systems engineering (10+ years) and Infrastructure as Code (6+ years).

I worked for several companies such as Thales 🛩 , IBS (CEA) 🔬, OVHcloud ☁️ , RIPE NCC 🌍, 📮 La Poste Groupe.
